they make my butt look good.

Guys seem to be obsessed with them. Girls love to wear them. Is this because they are so utterly comfortable or is it because they make butts look damn good? I have a friend from high school who always wore these black yoga pants. Whenever she wore them, all of my guy friends would obsess and tell her, "Damn, your ass is looking good today." Of course, being girls, we decided we had to have this kind of pant and that kind of attention. In reality, I don't have a butt. Nope, it's definitely not there. But when I put on yoga pants, it magically appears. I can't help to check myself out and want to flaunt my stuff.

The image above shows women wearing yoga pants. Notice how perfect their butts appear to be. This docile body practice is definitely one that is going to keep happening. Many stores now have labels on sweat pants that advertise the "perfect butt." It is a body practice that women have because of the comfortability and attention they receive from wearing them.
We get swayed into buying them because of those reasons. A lot of women and teenagers have these kinds of pants. Yoga pants make a butts, a feature guys find to be sexy, even sexier. Most women enjoy that feeling of male attraction. And by simply wearing yoga pants, we feel that we are getting that attention. Some people may argue that they just wear them to wear them, but I honestly think they know deep down that they are accentuating a feature that guys are in to.

Some of my friends are also interested in the website The Chive. This website has a whole section of pictures devoted to girls wearing yoga pants, which, I agree, is somewhat appalling. However, this article of clothing is one that both guys and girls love.

  1. This post made me literal laugh out loud because it is so true! I had no idea the craze a pair of comfy workout pants had on guys until one of my guy friends so lovingly yelled out to a stranger in the mall "nice ass!" Since then if I'm feeling particularly tired or lazy I feel okay wearing my favorite pair of yoga pants instead of my baggy drawstring sweats knowing some guy I pass might appreciate my butt.

  2. I've had alot of guys come to me and say " I like those pants.. keep wearing them!" At first I just liked them because they were comfy and didn't make me look like a lazy bum like baggy sweats did! But I can't disagree I wear them to show of my booty now too!

  3. I have never thought about girls wearing yoga pants as a body practice before. I mean, with me being a guy and all, all I know is that we love them! There may not be a more distracting, attention getting, intriguing piece of clothing that a girl could wear. But it is crazy to think that you girls don't conscientiously wear them for that purpose.

  4. I really liked this issue that you brought up because I think it also shows how body practices change over time. Years ago yoga pants were definitely not in style but apparently now they are. This goes to show just how much our bodies and the way we dress is influenced by our culture. Also, yeah I never thought of yoga pants as a way of showing off certain "assets" but now I see your point and every time I will see yoga pants it will probably make me laugh.
