And you thought the Hummer was ridiculous?

This "tank" is the flagship vehicle for Conquest Vehicles Inc. This is an armored vehicle, it weighs 13,000 lbs., and only 100 of them were made. This SUV dwarfs the H2 Hummer, but thank goodness it runs off of a V-10, 6.8 liter bio-fuel engine. This makes me ask the question who has the money to afford something like this and why? It turns out that NBA super-start Dwight Howard is the proud owner of the Knight XV. This makes some sense considering in 2007 Howard signed a 5 year contract worth about 80 million dollars. Clearly enough this isn't the car for the average Joe. Why was this car made? I believe a few reasons. First of all, the company wanted to make something bigger and more bad ass than the H2, and they knew there would be buyers. Secondly, it was designed after an army vehicle, which adds to the "bad-assity". This car was clearly constructed with men in mind. Men would be the buyers so the car was constructed with everything a man would like or would find cool. I, being a guy, completely agree that it is a bad-ass machine, but being sane can also tell you that it is crazy and unnecessary. This goes back to the State Farm Insurance commercial on what men would buy if they had a bunch of money... Well this is the type of thing that guys with a lot of money do buy.

  1. I agree that this car is bad ass! I would be impressed if a guy had this car! Maybe it was also invited for guys to impress the chicks! This car is unnecessary but if you have the money, what's the harm? They made this car to out do the Hummer and they sure did a good job!
